Work Accidents
The European Union may not be popular with all but brought about laws to protect the safety of employees.
For example in one case a postman fell when the handle bars on his bicycle broke. Although the bike had been regularly maintained Royal Mail were liable because all work equipment must be safe.
Uninsured or Untraced Drivers
Approximately 10% of all drivers are said to be driving without proper insurance. Also a considerable number drive away from the scene of the accident. The motor insurers bureau was created to stand in the place of the insurance companies in such claims. We deal with these claims through the Motor Insurers Bureau.
Recent settlements
£17,000 for a lady, aggressively attacked by a dog (although not bitten) - the lady
suffered a post traumatic stress reaction. This included £7,000 for loss of earnings.
£108,000 for a cyclist injured in a road traffic accident.
